Queen Elizabeth II has been crowned the most popular British monarch of all time, according to a new poll.
The late monarch is a firm favourite among Brits, as more than eight in 10 (84%) said they have a favourable view of her.
Elizabeth’s reign lasted from 1952 to 2022, making her the longest-reigning British monarch after 70 years and 214 days on the throne.
Only 10% admitted to having an unfavourable view of her, bringing her net favourability score to 74, the highest among 43 monarchs in YouGov’s latest survey.
