Anna Wintour breaks silence on Princess Kate Vogue rumours as she’s honoured by King
Dame Anna Wintour has broken her silence over rumours Princess Kate was offered global covers with Vogue.
Fashion editor Dame Anna spoke at a Buckingham Palace investiture ceremony after she was made a Companion of Honour in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours list for her services to fashion.
Dame Anna, who was dressed in Alexander McQueen, was asked whether it was true the Princess of Wales was offered global covers with Vogue. She said with a smile: “Yeah, I don’t know where those (rumours) have come from, do you?”
The comment comes after it was reported the fashion giant personally sent Kate an offer to grace Vogue’s much-coveted front cover.
The Mail on Sunday reported last month that a deal with Kate mean she could choose her own photographer, be in charge of styling and decide if she wanted to do an interview for the magazine.
