Princess Kate marked World Cancer Day by sharing a never-before-seen image which was captured by her youngest son, Prince Louis. The Princess of Wales, who battled with the disease, looked radiant in the snap which saw her connect with nature.
Kate stood in the grounds of Windsor Castle and gazed at the camera as the young royal captured the radiant picture. It was shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, on the joint account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The images, which showed Kate standing on a tree trunk in a wintry woodland and a frost-covered fern, were shared alongside the message “don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease” and signed off with a C to show it was a message from the princess.
The Princess of Wales revealed in March that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy following a significant abdominal surgery. However, she did not publicly disclose what cancer she received treatment.
Following the news her royal duties were scaled back but during the summer she made a surprise visit to Wimbledon Tennis where she received an emotional standing ovation by fans. In September, the Princess confirmed that she had completed her cancer treatment and would be making a gradual return to public duties.
