Prince William caught off guard by excited fan as he returns to royal duties

Prince William was caught off guard as he returned to his royal duties.
As the Prince of Wales walked to his destination on Thursday, April 24, a royal fan dashed across the grass for a selfie. According to footage and eyewitnesses at the scene, one enthusiastic supporter even wrapped him in a hug after getting her photo, as reported by GB News
The future king was visiting Mentivity in South London, a youth-focused organisation offering mentorship, safe spaces, and support to over 400 local children each week. His visit to Mentivity House, located on the Aylesbury Estate, spotlighted the charity’s work empowering young people through education and community engagement.
During his time there, William met with co-founders Sayce Holmes-Lewis and Leon Wright, who shared how their own upbringing on the estate inspired Mentivity’s mission.
The Prince also sat down with teens involved in the program, hearing firsthand how the organisation has shaped their lives and created a positive, safe environment.
The outing marks William’s official return to work following a quiet Easter break spent at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk with Princess Kate and their children George, Charlotte, and Louis. The family was joined by Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.
